Emails & notifications
Every email the plugin sends is editable HTML — welcome messages, referral notices, payout confirmations — in your voice.
The emails your program sends
The plugin notifies the right person at the right moments: an applicant when their application is received and when it's approved or rejected; a partner when they earn a referral and when a payout is sent; you (or your program manager) when a new application or a held referral needs attention.
Everything lives under Affiliates → Emails.
Editing them
Every notification is an editable HTML template — subject and body, with placeholders for the dynamic parts (partner name, referral link, personal code, amounts). Rewrite them in your brand's voice; the defaults are professional but generic, and generic is the enemy of activation.
The one to invest in first is the approval/welcome email — it's the highest-leverage message in your entire program, because it decides whether a new partner promotes this week or never. Include their link, their code, and two or three ready-to-adapt promotion angles. A proven five-touch structure to build toward is in the onboarding email sequence.
Toggling notifications
Under Settings → Notifications, control which emails go out at all. Running a high-volume program where a per-referral email would be noise? Turn that one off and let the dashboard carry the numbers.
Deliverability
Emails send through WordPress's mail system, so they're only as deliverable as your site's mail setup. If your store doesn't already use an SMTP/transactional mail service, add one (any WordPress SMTP plugin works) — that's general WordPress hygiene, and your affiliate emails ride on it.
