Import & migration
Move an existing program in — one-click migration from other affiliate plugins, or CSV import for everything else.
One-click migration
Running another affiliate plugin on the same site? Open Affiliates → Tools. When the plugin detects another affiliate plugin's data in your database, a migration panel appears (it stays hidden otherwise — no clutter). One click brings your program over: affiliates, their referral history, and balances — so partners keep their track record and nobody starts from zero.
Two rules for a calm migration, expanded in the full migration guide:
- Do it on staging first. Copy your site, run the migration there, and check a handful of partners' numbers against the old system before touching production.
- Overlap, don't cut over. Keep the old plugin installed (deactivated) until a full payout cycle has completed cleanly in the new one.
CSV import
Coming from a SaaS platform, a spreadsheet, or something exotic? Tools → CSV import takes a file of affiliates and creates the accounts. Export from the old system, match the columns, import — the importer shows what it understood before anything is written.
After an import, spot-check a few partners, then send everyone a short note with their dashboard link — their referral link changes with the new system, and the note doubles as a re-activation touch.
What about tracking continuity?
Old referral links from a previous system keep working only if that system's link format still resolves (usually a ?ref= parameter). After migrating, have partners update their links from their new dashboard — the partner newsletter is the natural vehicle. Personal coupon codes can be recreated to match their old codes, which preserves spoken-word attribution across the move.
